They are already working on plans to stop people going more than 15 minutes from there home. This is starting in Oxford and Canterbury, all under the cover of climate change.

Agreed. Thin end of the wedge. Seems they'll be wanting to restrict travel soon. Apart from David Attenborough and their reporters of course. In the recent snow they sent reporter's up to a bridge overlooking the M62 on the Pennines to report that it was snowing, that cars has their headlights and wipers on! The reporter hadn't walked or cycled the 20 miles from the Leeds studio. He told listeners he'd gone in a 4x4. Totally unnecessary travel to tell us what we all knew. The BBC are hypocrites.
They should be reporting news, not researching anti aviation material to match their agenda. Didn't someone tell Gary Lineker last week that the BBC had to maintain a neutral stance ?

Proper spoiled my tea. I'm convinced the BBC have an anti LBA policy..They clearly did NOT ask the airport for a comment as the quotation given was exactly that given when this matter first arose. The woman in Headingley beggars belief. Pathetic.

I am with you all 100% and I believe Look North should be challenged...where were the residents in NW Leeds, the vast majority like me, who could not care less about the noise, and welcome the fact the airport is busy and growing....look at Donny residents and how they fought for their airport....and for that matter I am getting more angry at how Look North supported DSA case for survival! Could we send a collective message to the Look North Editor demanding answers?

I too live in NW Leeds. Every councillor serving, or running at the next election in this area seems opposed to LBA. They obviously think that by doing so, they will gain support. My problem, is that I refuse to vote for any politician who opposes or has opposed LBA, which leaves me with absolutely nobody to vote for. So be it.

I just wish that more people in the area would support the airport and kick these politicians out. They are destroying the city.
