EMIRATES NS24 2-CLASS A380 NETWORK OVERVIEW – 24DEC23

Emirates in last week’s schedule update filed various service adjustments during Northern summer 2024 season, reported on AeroRoutes on 21DEC23. This update focuses on the carrier’s planned 2-class A380 operation, between 31MAR24 and 26OCT24.

Dubai – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi EK376/377 (No 2-class A380 service in June 2024. Separately, EK374/375 A380 service is not available for booking in First Class)
Dubai – Birmingham
EK039/040
Dubai – Denpasar EK368/369
Dubai – Dusseldorf EK055/056
Dubai – London Gatwick EK009/010 (EK011/012 from 01AUG24)
Dubai – Manchester EK019/020, EK021/022
Dubai – Mauritius EK703/704
Dubai – Rome Fiumicino EK097/098 (Actual booking continues to display 3-class aircraft, although schedule listing shows 2-class)
Dubai – Taipei Taoyuan EK366/367

Manchester seems a strange one - I thought first class did okay out of there? Seems just one flight will offer first moving forward based on that info above.

It does before covid it was one 3 class and 2x2 class but when business returned there were not enough
aircraft available so a 3 class was added so at least we had something bigger than a 777 which were not
satisfactory or popular, Qatar have the same problem and except they have are going a different way using A350X and A359 plus 789 all year now and 777 is slowly going

So what does that mean? That effectively 37/38 is remaining a 777 for next year?

According to the latest timetable/schedule upgrade yes but Emirates update this on a near monthly basis so wouldn't read too much into it yet. Hopefully will change over the next 2-3 month if the 2nd 380 is coming back in 2024

Personally I'd be happy with Emirates staying as they are and Qatar going double daily or at least going 10 weekly with a daily lunchtime flight.

Alternatively Emirates 3 daily as before covid with 2 X 777 and 1x380 or 3 x 777 although that's highly optimistic .

Saudi up to 4 weekly!

Turkish going nicely with the announced summer frequency increase.

Finally no PIA to upset the apple cart going east.

What I do speculate is that 3rd daily emirates returning in the future, I’m not saying next year or after, but it does look to return as demand is definitely going well. The evening flight isn’t as expected, but in cargo wise it’s doing fantastic

Emirates will probably be thrice daily once slightly smaller aircraft types come in to allow the third service. Something like 1x A388, 2x A359
What makes you say that? 2 A350s on BHX is reducing capacity, if possible it’s only going to be on the third service if it happens. However I don’t see the 777 going by at least 2025. The A350s are planned for Asian routes that are 2C.

5 out of 15 aircraft now in service, The chances of EK37/38 being up graded to the A380 is looking slim for this summer. 🙄

Wonder why more have gone back into storage??? Emirates are expanding still be why putting more 388 2 classes into storage than out?!

I'd been wondering why I'd seen the same reg on the lunchtime service so frequently, no wonder when there are only five of them.

I share the same sentiments as NWoody wondering why more have gone back into storage.

Very slim, a lot of the A380s meant to return to service have not returned, this is due to parts not arriving on time. As for the other journey to the future A380s, they are in for maintenance, not entirely sure how long either. However, A6-EOR should be in maintenance today as it’s booked to be.

Now showing on FR24 In maintenance at DXB

I’ve noticed every day since Monday EK39 has been delayed by an 1hr and 20mins.interesting if it’s a passenger issue or an aircraft issue.Been the same aircraft since Monday aswell

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
