Three LBA diverts two Ryanair from Limoges and Alicante plus Emerald AT76 from Dublin along with a LHR diversion Swiss BCS3 from Geneva.

Aer Lingus EIN168 EI-DVE A320 DUB-LHR currently diverting to BHX landed 1655

BA Shuttle BA1402 Heathrow-Manchester, A20N G-TTNL diverted in Monday evening at 20:05, due to a blocked runway at Manchester, departed back to Manchester at 21:24

& our oubound QR34 to Doha, B788 A7-BCP appears to have gone tech and is night stopping Birmingham.

Todays 777 A6-ENI seems to have encountered something, not sure what’s happened, but delayed to 2am. Aircraft pushed back and then returned to gate.

Nope, it’s at BHX and needed a new crew / Slot to enter BHX, it’s currently loading up, and the departure time is set for 12am-1am. A few passengers have been rebooked onto 38 also

Yes, seems to be. The Emirates flight status website, last time i looked (about 2 hours ago) suggests its going to operate out as EK8040 (iirc) with passengers rebooked onwards. But it'll depart much later than the usual EK40, around 6pm i think.

I suspect they might've offered some passengers spare seats on EK38, some on spare seats on EK40, and the rest would fly out on the EK8040. You might get a bit more money back if you wait for EK8040, i guess.

It does mean, i think, that there will be two EK A380s on the ground this afternoon!

Yep, no crew at all, A6-EUN should be bringing in a spare crew. Roughly 30-60pax were rebooked into last nights 38, a few are rebooked onto days 40.There is also another EK8040 flight as mentioned by @Nibbles , this should be carrying the remaining people on onwards

It'd be good (and by that i mean interesting) to see the complicated crew roster for these.

I guess the crew for 20/10 EK40 would've been sat waiting, and either had a night off or got sent up to MAN to fly it back to BHX. Then they'd need a break (given length of flight to DXB), so couldnt fly until some time today, and will operate the revised EK8040. Then the crew for today's EK40 would've flown EK39 in yesterday, and have been bussed down (or perhaps got a ride in an empty A380).

Or they could get a MAN crew to pop down here instead?

Disruption logistics for airlines from diversions etc. must be a genuinely fascinating area of work, especially if its seeking to minimise costs (which im sure the insurers demand) - i.e. dont fly empty aircraft around for the sake of it.
