How though, is the lack of a phone signal the airports fault? They don't have control over where transmitters are or the strength of the signal. That's down to O2 and Vodafone. If there's t'internet in there then calls can still be made via Whats App ? Failing that, as you point out, they can walk back into the old area if they really need to make a call . No doubt LBA will be aware and seeking a solution with the providers but there's only so much they can do.Middle son and girlfriend using airport today. Through jet2 check-in and security in less than 30.
Went into new extension and neither of them had a phone signal one on O2 the other on Vodafone.
They had to back to old part to get signal
Anyone else Aware of this issue?
Not good passenger experience.
Will this be sorted?
