Where will all the airlines check in after all the terminal moves happen? I’m pretty sure Emirates will have Zone A and EasyJet will have C but where will all the others go? Pretty sure there’s not enough room for all other airlines (E.G SAS, Icelandair, BA) will all be able to fit in just Zone B!

There are zones D & E too. Zones F & G I think are jet2?

The rumours of a fixed link from T2 to Pier C are just that - a rumour.

On to check in

Fixed airlines

Zone A - EK
Zone B - TOM/VS
Zone C - EZY
Zone D - QR/AF/KL (other SkyTanking Airlines)
Zone E - Lufty Group (Dnata Handled airlines)
Zone F - LS
Zone G - Various

The plan is to have multiple airlines checking in at the same desks - airlines will be grouped by ground handler. This is a process that is used elsewhere.

Good if anyone can find that image?

Again, this is unverified.

100 year plan!

Any sign line painting and light installation on dual taxiway echo yet?
Lights have been installed for a few months. They have been testing them over the last couple of weeks.

Taxiway edge lines have been painted. The yellow centreline will be a last minute addition before taxiway opening.

Stands 61, 29 & 31 need reconfiguration work before Delta can open (The centreline of the new echo is moving north east of the current echo by around 10m).

Works are continuing in anticipation of Aer Lingus moving on the 16th. Initially pax will use carousel 12 which will be segregated whilst works conclude on the permanent domestic arrivals on carousel 1 which is due for opening on Nov 1st.

When does cargo sheds demolition start? Do we know when new remotes will open and how many? Assuming big job, might take years! Alot of concrete needed!

Just playing with Google Earth (not maps) and they have some unrefined imagery from 6th Mar 25.

Google earth

I'm sure the wonky pier 2 is an image issue!

Note the dual taxying

So wish they went with original phase 2 T2 expansion plan, remote satalliate down middle and extension of old Western Pier!

Initially pax will use carousel 12 which will be segregated whilst works conclude on the permanent domestic arrivals on carousel 1 which is due for opening on Nov 1st.
Does this mean that all of legacy baggage claim are going to be for domestic flights or is this just carousel 1? Also is Legacy baggage reclaim planned to be refurbished to match the look and feel of carousels 6-12?

As well as the above, dummy booking on the airport car park site now has the move dates for Emirates and EasyJet, and aside from SAS and Icelandair, these and other moves all now match the image that was posted a few weeks ago.

indeed, noting has been said about ba and there is no official confirmation. whilst 7 oct is the day MAG have suggested - and folks have noted these dates on the MAN website when looking at flights, BA is not convinced about the arrivals process so it may well slip to later in october.

the temporary lounge in the corridor between t1 and t3 is closing on 7 oct and the interim plan is for ba to give vouchers to lounge eligible passengers - am hoping they are valid at kfc :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
