Hong Kong Air Cargo didn't last long?

Whats the difference between Silkway and Silkway West? (or, thought we already had Silkway 747s?)

Saudia cutting back? Thought people were suggesting an extra flight or was that Qatar? I get confused.

Sky Cargo (Emirates) interesting but as people say, just slots doesn't mean owt, same a Qatar.

Spicejet believe it when I see it on finals...

Saudia not cutting back from their current schedule but it look like they are not planning to operate the 4x weekly schedule they operated last August. That said, Saudia Pax levels are up 35% YTD 2025 vs 2024 as of the end of may on the exact same schedule suggesting that loads are very much improved this year... rather increase load factors before capacity... Things may well change though as i suspect Saudia will be one of the main beneficiaries of AI's cutbacks atm!

So Qatar have aircraft issues I believe.

Qatar have been resuming operations at bhx since 2022 with a daily B788 it’s quite extraordinary how they haven’t gone 2 daily.

Right now going 2 daily is probably their best opportunity

Anyone remember last year when Ryanair uk were rumoured for Bodrum and Dalaman?

I have a rough feeling this could be the case

Silkway is just short for Silkway West, who operate Worldwide. Their is also a Silkway Airlines, who operate domestically in Azerbaijan.

So aircraft issues is stopping Qatar going twice daily? They’ve used the 777/A350 a few times, before any 2nd daily flight even happens there needs to be a daily flight alongside if demand is so so good there needs to be more capacity

Demand is always full on Qatar.Great numbers

And from my experience looking at prices Qatar are not cheap … always more than Saudia Turkish etc. But a little less £ than Emirates
A relative wanted to travel QR business class a couple of weeks back to Taiwan & dates for BHX legs were full so had to go down m40

I`m not sure it is aircraft shortages as MAN is upto 4 daily now on some days and is gradually increasing but does vary on types with 2 or 3 789 and a A350 daily usually

If not a new route Rome may be rugby related.
I’m fully expecting EZY to add Rome next year although it’ll be another example of a route jumping to four carriers in quick succession. I doubt Summer 26 will be anything groundbreaking - Zante is the obvious Greek island missing, Ibiza for the Balearics and perhaps Paphos to round off Cyprus. If they plan on introducing a new country then possibly Dubrovnik? Cities like Nice or Venice maybe? I still think there are plenty of safe bets out there before we see sort of destinations Jet2 are adding.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
