I thought Cardiff would have taken a host of diverted flights from BHX. It does not look like.

TUI 787 diverted into CWL from KOS so far, they still appear to be working on FR diversion from Dublin yesterday.

According to FR24 KLM Amsterdam to Cardiff KL1087 got diverted to Southampton KL1088 was cancelled as a result.

G-TAWY TUI 737 800 operating BY6754 from Cardiff to Paphos diverted to Birmingham shortly after take-off engine problem i believe.

TUI 787 9 G-TUIJ operating Barbados to Manchester diverted into Cardiff at 08.27. According to FR24 it's due to depart at 12.00. Guessing it was weather related.

BY6423 ACE-CWL operated by G-TAWW is diverting to BHX by the looks of it. Fog at CWL is the problem I believe.

It looks like its diverting to East Midlands instead.

EI-EFT a Ryanair 737 MAX 8200 which was operating FR4130 SOF-BRS diverted into Cardiff. Looks like Bristol is having some problems possibly with fog.

EI-GPN Aer Lingus Regional ATR72 operating EA3284 DUB-BRS has also diverted into Cardiff. According to FR24 it looks like it'll operate to Cork. So whether the BRS passengers will be bussed over or it'll go out empty idk.

Add Aer Lingus regional ATR72 from Dublin to BRS, also diverted into CWL.
Must have posted at the same time lol

The inbound DUB-BRS flight diverted to CWL due to winds in BRS. It was scheduled to operate BRS-ORK which was cancelled and the aircraft departed CWL empty to ORK. Luckily the ORK-BRS flight is still planned to operate (albeit 30mins behind schedule) as I’m currently sat on it waiting to depart to Bristol.

I’m surprised they’ve committed to sourcing an aircraft and making the journey. I thought Ryanair tend to just cancel and move on.

Me too but it is good to see.

To be fair to Ryanair they will always do their best to avoid cancelling. Easyjet however will cancel flights at the drop of a hat and operate much tighter with regards to crew workings.
Many factors will be at play though, subject to crew and aircraft availability. Had it been peak summer they may not have had the flexibility to do it.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
