Looking at Wikipedia and Planespotters fleet listings the Blue Air aircraft are as follows.

737-300 - 136 and 141
737-400 - Between 150 and 170 (162, 156, 168, 170)
737-500 - 126
737-700 - 144
737-800 - 189

The original seat plans showed a 28 row aircraft making 168 seats, which fits nicely in with a 734. The first few months however have been upgraded showing a 30 row aircraft, except that row 1 only has 3 seats, this makes 177 seats. Even if it was two rows that makes 180.

Anybody fancy as guess as to what will be operating tomorrow, FR24 suggests a 738?

Only 4 empty seats on the first inbound (y)

No wonder the first few weeks have been upgraded to the 738, great to see Bucharest off to a good start.

Not a bad arch but difficult given the weather.

The winter schedule is now showing and Bucharest gains a Thursday flight going up to 3x weekly.

Tuesday, Saturday.

Bucharest 07:15 Birmingham 09:15
Birmingham 10:00 Bucharest 15:20

Thursday

Bucharest 15:00 Birmingham 16:30
Birmingham 17:15 Bucharest 22:35

It means that Bucharest will total 5x weekly flights over winter with two departures on a Thursday.

It would be nice to see a new route from Blue Air, if not for winter then maybe for S17.

Iași, Cluj or Bacău would be most welcome.

So when PK talks about going from Hunting to Farming, I suspect this is the type of incremental successes he means. Get them and, help them grow! In the scheme of wider BHX it's small, but that's a 50% increase in capacity from Blue Air at BHX... Only a few days into their service at BHX!!!

Talking of new routes, Larnaca may be in the running. Blue Air set up a base there last year and have been continually expanding, including adding a new route from there to Luton (starts this month) which I hear is selling extremely well, and has led them to increase the frequency by an extra weekly flight (bearing in mind the route hasn't even commenced yet...!)
Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Excellent stuff. Cluj is another great route to have and 4 weekly is a healthy frequency to start with. Bucharest is also booming. I wonder if Wizz will respond with more flights or A321's?

The rumours are starting to come to fruition (y)

well with regard to Blue Air, things really are looking good.

They only launched in March 2016, and by December 2016, they will have grown from 1x destination / 2x weekly flights (up to 720 pax weekly / 37,500 pax annually) to 2x destinations / 10x weekly flights (up to 3,600 pax weekly / 187,500 pax annually)..... that's some pretty impressive growth in less than 12 months!!!!

EDIT: Having looked at the timetable Bucharest direct remains 3x weekly for winter (Tue, Thur and Sat) it's also available on Mon, Wed and Fri but via Cluj.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
