The man is a sad fanatic. This week he put leaflets through doors following his failure to be elected for the Green Party, and most if it was anti airport nonsense. It seems to be all he is interested in.With regard to this so called protest today. By what I’ve seen at most there was 5 people there. And one of them as you might have guessed was Chris Foren. So I don’t know if you call this a protest but there you have it.
Chris Foren may be a prat, but he's not a councillor and not on the planning committee. Thankfully.Chris Foren. The **** that kept on banging on and on and on about the environment in those meetings and always had to have a final say. The guy who shouldn't even be on the planning committee as he cannot for one second be level headed and see both sides of the argument.
Oh don't worry @White Heather that prat comes calling round mine, and im in, he'll be called what I truly think of him and told where to stick his political beliefs. I'll more than likely also rip the leaflet up and chuck at at him.
Absolutely. Of the highest order.Oh - both are still prats however.
As Heather has said Mr F is not a councillor. But he was candidate for it. it was funny when he got the least amount of votes out of all the candidates in that ward.Oh - both are still prats however.
Yet he sends out leaflets thanking all the 750 or so people who voted for him , almost as though he was successful. What a waste of paper and printing ink.As Heather has said Mr F is not a councillor. But he was candidate for it. it was funny when he got the least amount of votes out of all the candidates in that ward.
Probably for a reason as most of the residents there know how messed up he is![]()
I've heard the rumour too about the trams for leeds, makes sense and far far less cost.A decision will be made this Thursday about HS2, and the likely cancellation on the Leeds leg. Aparanty the goverment will give LCC money for a tram line instead.... does anyone think the goverment may be more flexible with approving the airport plans to sweeten the incoming HS2 backlash?
Whatever way you look at this, it's a huge downgrade for Leeds and will mean Leeds will no longer be competitive as a business destination. If its a consolation, I would hope the lobby groups will make the claim for the Airport, and maybe with a bit of imagination..., if we get scraps in the form of a new tram system, finding a way to link that to the Airport would be interesting.I've heard the rumour too about the trams for leeds, makes sense and far far less cost.
I bet we end up with a 1million pound cycle lane! Haha
The current plans for a rapid transport system for West Yorkshire, already include the airport on the network, so hopefully and system solely around Leeds, will still include it. The problem with trams though,, is that they only go to certain parts if the city. The vast majority of the city isn't in the network so remains reliant on buses or trains. Anyone who thinks that a tram system will solve the busy be roads is deluding themselves. Go see how busy Sheffield is at peak times! It's no different to Leeds from my experience working there.Whatever way you look at this, it's a huge downgrade for Leeds and will mean Leeds will no longer be competitive as a business destination. Ideally they will put the cycle lanes in-between the tram lines!I've heard the rumour too about the trams for leeds, makes sense and far far less cost.

I've not used the one in Sheffield, but have sat in the Manchester tram - it was horrendous, it was so packed at peak times. Am i right in thinking the Sheffield trams stopped in the evenings? The current plans for a rapid transport system for West Yorkshire, already include the airport on the network, so hopefully and system solely around Leeds, will still include it.
