I just refuse to read it! In fact, I refuse to read anything written by Richard Beecham, a reporter that does stories for various papers, including the YEP, T&A and even the much loved (not) Wharfedale Observer. They are usually a load of tosh and very much leaning towards anti LBA.
Can I ask you not to use that kind of language on the forum. Swearing isn't permitted. :)

Just an observation, but there is a bit of a tendency to call out certain members on the forum unnecessarily for their comments. Moderators should be observing this and reminding everyone to be respectful. We all share an interest and sometimes people may repeat, but there is an ignore button. In my opinion there is no need to call out any individual, that’s unnecessary.

Just an observation here, but do some people not have a sense of humour? Yes there was a certain amount of tongue in cheek involved but equally it was a way to get a joke in there too. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but repetition of the same thing, whilst yes perhaps showing passion, becomes tedious. So in just the same way you don’t agree with some recent comments, which you are entitled to, others are entitled to theirs. And if the mods considered it a personal attack then I am sure they would have done something about it. But to set the record straight, @LBA4EVER if I upset you in any way then I am sorry

First off im not upset in the slightest and I've not complained to the monitors whatsoever, in fact i was rather amused by the "drone" comment haha
Because everyone is different with their own opinions and personalities that shows on here which in turn makes these forums interesting, and i do enjoy reading your comments finger66.
I must admit though i was abit unaware of my repetitive comments, must admit im not alone though on here, there are other members who regularly repeat their views haha

You raise a valid point HX3. If it were the case that being called out caused upset and offence, then it would not be acceptable, and as someone who has experienced this in the past personally I can tell you that the Moderators dealt with it very well, which is why I am still on this forum after 13 years.

However, most of us on here have learned that the comments made are generally meant in a light hearted manner and without any intention to hurt or cause upset, and react accordingly. I am certain that had the comments made been interpreted as upsetting or offensive and had been raised as such with Admin, then suitable action would be taken without turning a drama into a crisis.

We all have strong views on certain matters, and some of us like to express those views more frequently than others. That does lead to banter but that's all it is.

I have often thought that it's a pity that the members in here cannot get together somewhere to have a natter and a pint. We all have so much in common and probably feel we know each other after so long. Yet most of us have never met. I for example, have met two members on here in my 13 years, and I also have a friend here who is more of an observer (you know who you are!!). If members could get together, and meet in person, it could only be a good thing.

Finger66 I haven’t referenced any particular individual in any part of my comment, and I never mentioned attack.
I was polite, I raised my concern and if you don’t share it, or interpret it differently then that’s fine, we can beg to differ and you can elect to ignore me, but I won’t shy away from speaking my mind.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
