Forgive me if its already been mentioned (I did do a search).

The ex Air Livery hanger will become a new Jet2 hanger come 2026. For Airbus heavy maintenance.
Presumably the delay is due to the length of time required to make the hangar fit for purpose? I hear that there is a lot of work to be done, due to paint in every orifice after the previous user left.

It’s because none of the 321s will need the heavy maintenance until 3 years after entry into service, which would be 2026.
I believe the whole thing will be ripped out and refit inside.

Looks like G-VYGM has been AOG since 4th August at MAN and flights subbed on a 757 apart from yesterday when G-VYGK flew MAN - FAO, however it too looks to have gone AOG and a 737-800 flown to FAO to bring the pax back. I wonder if loads are low enough for the 757 to accommodate all PAX or if some are being put on alternative flights.

I doubt it.

Would suspect loads low enough to accommodate all on a 757 and the rest on other flights. Only saying that as before its been well documented on this forum they send a 75 and 737 together and they haven't done that this time.

additional flights to: Lanzarote, Malaga, Alicante, Antalya, Menorca, Malta, Barcelona, Salerno and Jerez during summer 2026.

"To support this unrivalled flying programme, we have expanded our operations at Manchester Airport and brought in an extra aircraft at the airport during Summer 26.” The airline is set to make more announcements in the coming weeks about its 2026 programme from Manchester Airport.

Steve added: “While we may be announcing our biggest Summer 26 programme to date from Manchester Airport, we are not done yet and will be revealing even more good news about our 2026 operations from the airport very soon. Our Summer 26 programme promises to be our best yet, and we have every confidence it will be a huge success.”

Rare to see a B733 (G-GDFT) in MAN today, appears to be operating a charter to SOB, yes I had to Google it too!
Sarmellek near Lake Balaton in Hungary.

With all the changes, 757 going and no leasing in bar the A330s next summer do we have an idea of
what will be based at MAN from spring

Sorry was really aimed at Jet2 but I slipped KLM in as the A321 are appearing in the schedule on a regular basis

I’m no expert but that seems to be an excessive application of brakes. You don’t usually see smoking like that.

Having looked at the comments, it seems the pilots evacuated the runway, so they were aiming to make the backtrack as short as possible.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
