I can see the Toronto route with Air Transat happening as they can operate the route with Airbus A310's and maybe the odd A330. I'm surprised that no has mentioned Budapest with Ryanair as that proved to be a popular route.

spoke today to a friend (who runs a travel agents in Leeds) is view is bhx does not affect lba in any way
if lba could get the tour operator to offer lba then air transat would come to lba
True but with the increasing popularity of interlining passengers through the likes of KLM's hub at Amsterdam and BA's hub at Heathrow among others, airlines such as Air Transat will need to consider more regional departure points if they are going to survive

Its a nice theory Aviador, but the question is, if more regional airports will gain long haul links, then why are 2 regional airports having their links cut by the very airline being talked about here?
In reply to the Canada talk, I have just found this http://www.aircanada.com/en/about/rouge.html looks like EDI has secured a Canada link, any chance of LBA or would they prefer MAN?
I hear Leeds/Bradford maybe on the radar of an ever expanding Istanbul based Star Alliance carrier so to open up a load more long haul connections

I know this doesn't affect LBA directly but seen as Jet2 is our home based airline I thought I'd post it here.
I'm going for Malaga (AGP).
