I imagine then that Southend would be the last base to see the A319s go and then get upgraded to A320ceo and anyway even if the A320neo has to be weight limited the furthest they go fly is Lanzarote and Tenerife and the neo 15% more fuel efficient and has the range at max weight to cross the Atlantic and the distance of Lanzarote and Tenerife is only half way on a TATL flight so i'd be surprised if it couldn't make those destinations from Southend.Southend forum talking about the A320 neo will be weight restricted at southend due to the engines heavier,
All airlines will be making contingency plans for Brexit and yes there is uncertainty but that will probably make airlines more cautious with their future plans. In the end people will still need to fly from and to the UK.I think with the brexit airlines are waiting to see how things pan out as all very uncertain.
