User001 posted on the MAN and BHX thread that Thomson will not be selling the Dubai cruise packages from any UK airport next year due to poor sales. Will be interesting to see when it comes around load factors in January and February.

For some reason there is no Thomson Cruises packages from Cardiff to Montego Bay this year so unsure if there ship was re-located. I was under the impression that the Dubai based cruis ship was a new addition to the fleet.

The longhaul cruise market from Cardiff Airport will be the busiest fir many years if not ever. (P&O & Thomson Cruises)

Interesting to see that MLA has reappeared on the Thomson booking engine , now based on the fact numerous other U.K airports have also been re added, it could well suggest that either KM will operate these after an agreement has been reached.Nothing bookable yet as the case with the Meixco flights ... Will be good to see it continue

Or if KM won't do it then Thomson could get a charter airline to base at MLA for the summer to fly to UK airports as Malta is a popular destination and i can't see them not offering it.

what mexico flts is this.?

Thomson have loaded some cruise flights for Winter 2017/2018.
BGI departing 31st December 2017 and returning 14th January 2018 and 4th March 2018 return 18th March.
MBJ departing 19th December 2017 and returning 2nd January 2017 and 20th February 2018 return 6th March 2018.
They still seem to be interested in cruise flights from CWL even if they have stopped other long haul.

Seen a post on Prune and its saying that Thomson are struggling to find an airline to do MLA. It's on the drop down as every Tuesday but no packages on sale yet. I would've thought there would be plenty of charter airlines they could get to do it? Unless they are after a certain sized plane?
Also EXT, EMA, NCL and GLA don't have their packages on sale so it looks like it's effects them as well.

BHX BRS will do the summer season. as they must be classed as scheduled and the airports dropped are charter

LHR MAN GAT will keep year round services.
BHX BRS will do the summer season.
I believe MAN LHR and LGW are all TOM flights with their own aircraft whereas BHX and BRS are Air Malta flights as were the others and i believe they were all scheduled flights but just seasonal. On another forum someone suggested they could use there own aircraft and just charter PMI out. Personally i'm wondering if they are trying to arrange a charter airline with A319 size aircraft. Like Volotea.

man lgw lhr are scheduled flights all year round. bhx and brs are scheduled flights from may till October. all the airports to be dropped are charter flights.
a sidenote tom do not fly into lhr on scheduled or charter flights.
man and lgw also use tom aircraft but pure charter. if it could get hands on a last years air malta brochure then all will be explained in it.

In the summer season of 2015 air malta did 2 rotations out of cwl per week. the normal Tuesday charter and a Friday evening flight which was via bhx which was also charter. the Friday rotation only lasted 1 season as could not get enough pax loads from cwl, hence why it was via bhx. the aircraft used was a A319.

Cardiff airports first flight to Dubai will depart this evening. Flight number TOM794 will depart to DWC at 23.50 and will arrive after a 7 hour flight. The aircraft is a 767 300er.

Interesting to note that the Tuedsay daytime PMI 'W' pattern flight has now changed operator, originally Albastar (AP) were set to operate however this has now changed to Eurowings (EW) with the the following flight times:

EW5691 CWL 16:10 - PMI 19:30
EW5690 PMI 14:00 - CWL 15:25

Will we still see Albastar?

Also I'm wondering if it'll be a wet leased Air Berlin aircraft as well.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
