Well I had read that a 100 pax connected onto one of our US flights BUT then read the domestic figures.

What on earth has happened re domestic connectivity?

I get Edinburgh re US increases QTR THY
but Exeter etc ?

Well I had read that a 100 pax connected onto one of our US flights this week BUT have just read the domestic figures.

What on earth has happened re domestic connectivity?

I get Edinburgh re US increases QTR THY
but Exeter, Newquay, Jersey etc ?

I fully expected these to all be up never mind down !

Whilst we didnt get the 4th wave I thought" we still had some modest increases re frequency ?

Our long haul is up so I would have expected City to city to be at least level and any tfr decrease in pax using direct long haul out of Edinburgh perhaps mitigated by additional long haul ex Manchester.

And what of Exeter Newquay Inverness ?

Dublin ?

Comparing a 28 day month to a 29 day month? Would be fantastic to see increases with a day's less operation

In that case Holmes, it would perhaps have been quote "even more fantastic" to see a proportional decline across the board that we could attribute purely to the movement of calender days.

Maybe it's just me but I'm sure some of the figures do appear in some cases to be down by more than the 3% - 4% represented by just one day.

I'm at a loss as to how that could be explained away by a single day, week end OR INDEED week day..

At least Norwich and Southampton bucked the trend.

Maybe they are still on the Grigorian calender.

This is a comment reference brand analysis re Aeroflot

The airline's brand promotion includes sponsorship of Manchester United FC, "which helps Aeroflot reach a vast audience across East Asia in particular", the report says.

Why is the return across all airlines into Manchester relatively small despite the global image?

Unfortunately I've been away from home for the last week and therefore have had to restrict my posts due to mobile data limits. I'll be back late tomorrow and will try to check my figures on Friday.

As soon as I have more information I'll post an update.

I have just revisited the CAA website and they appear to have 2 sets of data for the domestic flights. As a result I will hold off making any further comment for February until the next update is provided by the CAA.

Just for information Newquay shows both 3885 amd 4063 passengers - and various other routes have a similar problem.

The next update was supposed to have been today, but nothing showing.

For those hoping we might see a new station in Hale Barns I suspect this is the opening opwning shot in terms of cancellation and the possible PR impact.

Note; £3bn wasted already.

If the response is relatively mute no doubt it will be moved quietly to the sidings.

Once again the "usual" monotonous regularity re lack of investment outside London.

The real bad news is that any savings won't come North regardless!

What a bunch of absolute xxxx xxxx we have running this country.

Whilst I'm no fan of HS2 at least it kept the pot smouldering re HS3.

This comes a week after the new Thames crossing was announced, £6bn from the taxpayer seemingly waived through without a by or leave.

At least the £18bn coming out of the public purse re Heathrow infastructure might now be under some scrutiny!

Couple of shots of the MAN campus. Shows the SEMMS (I think it is SEMMS as opposed to MARR?) road towards the North East of the campus.

Nothing to see TP wise.

Nearly every T2 stand empty - I'd imagine this was taken during the afternoon lull? Shows that T2 could already handle a lot more pax even before the rebuild as long as flights were more evenly spread out. If only the same could be said for T1 and T3!

The first photo also shows the new 'enterprise way' just to the left of the terminal complex. This is the first part of the Airport City development.

Another small comment to say that Staff West car park looks rather empty - or am I having too much of a problem with my eyes and pixels when I enlarge the photo?

No, staff west is very much full. Apparently it's too full at the moment, friend tells me there is some proper crap double parking at moment, they are looking to bring in staff east earlier.

Hadn't spotted enterprise way before. Interesting to see how different that photo will be in a year or two's time.

No not a political discussion.

What should Manchester airport be asking either party for if it gets in.?

APD reduction on new routes

Parity of road / rail investment subsidy with Heathrow.

Pressure on tourism authorities to market Outside London.

Any ideas ?

Also, when we are talking about an election and governmental policies, how can it not be political? #justsayin

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
