We (you) have a responsibility to respect the law. It's as simple as that. What you discuss down at the pub is up to you but it isn't appropriate here.

I'm a bit uncomfortable with how you describe that as it makes it sound like there was something specifically contentious with my posts from a legal perspective.

As I understand it there is just a blanket ban on discussing the matter on the forum as a whole however if there is any genuine legal context I'd like to know the specifics of that so any risk can be avoided.

If the crown prosecution decide there is a case then anything discussed here and elsewhere could prejudice the court proceedings.
