i used the western heathrow side of the m25 on sunday around midday, it was crazy, felt like the rush hour, all the slip roads jammed up with traffic backing up and if you leave the slightest gap in front someone will jump in front! But then once you are on the southern section of the m25 a much better experience.I know what you mean..2 years ago enroute to and from Portsmouth we used the western side of the M25....on a weekend and it was utter madness...no lane discipline no care or respect, they aimed and went,,... frightening experience....never go there again
During the time when I worked at the airport the duty manager could alter the belt number and they usually would so long as it didn't conflict with Border Force priorities. Our flight arrived early yesterday, only 2 arrivals but they were using the same carousal! When I asked why the only 2 flights were on the same carousel, I was told is was planned the day before and couldn't be changed.
Had to wait 35 mins for a bus (came out of airport at 3.15pm), the trip into Leeds not too bad. Train journey uneventful until 10 mins from home. Made an unscheduled stop and crawled the rest of the way home.
Travelling to the airport was not too bad, left 1 hour earlier than by car. Coming home, it was 2.5hr later (without delay)but having said that I felt I had done my bit for the environment. (and saved £80 in cost)
I would definitely do it again if the flight timings would allow it.

That will affect many driving tests out of horsforth dtc as its a popular test route road! Will stay away. There are reports that the A6120 Leeds Ring Road is closed between Weetwood Lane and Tongue Lane due to a RTA. It's not clear when the road will reopen.
Wow must've been a bad smash. I hope everyone involved is ok!Its still closed

Another 20mph zone on its way?![]()
I had to divert down Weetwood Lane, to Headingley, and through Meanwood back to Moortown this morning, en route to golf at Doncaster. It took ages. Nightmare. Other traffic was diverted through Adel and along King Lane but there were huge queues everywhere. Two teenagers killed in the early hours and one critical. It's open again now as I came back that way at 5.30.Not good at all according to YEP. Hence the long road closure and I suspect it will remain closed for a good while longer.

Everything we know so far as two teenagers killed in Leeds crash
A 22-year-old man has been arrested following the A6120 Ring Road crash in the Moortown area of Leedswww.leeds-live.co.uk
I've mentioned this here but been so close to a general election I still don't believe we'll see any of the money. We'll here all kinds of promises over the next few months by both the main political parties. Labour will say it will look at it again if they get in, and then they'll probably cancel it too. Either which way, Leeds will more than likely lose out as it ALWAYS does.Following the now cancellation of the birmingham to manchester hs2 line 36billion of funds will be allocated to transport projects in the north including supertram in leeds! A new LBA terminal and rail station would be nice too haha
If supertram does come to leeds though can you imagine the chaos it will bring on the roads whilst under contruction esp whilst passing through densely populated areas.I've mentioned this here but been so close to a general election I still don't believe we'll see any of the money. Which is why it should have come to Leeds years ago. If and it's a massive if, I would expect to see a much watered down version of the original "supertram". If it were to happen its likely many services would be operated partly on the rail tracks branching off onto tram tracks near suburban towns. Imagine a tram running down Wellington Street, then Kirkstall Road before re-joining the train track near to Kirkstall Morrisons heading towards Guiseley where it would take a spur through Guiseley before re-joining the rail line to Ilkley. If supertram does come to leeds though can you imagine the chaos it will bring on the roads whilst under contruction esp whilst passing through densely populated areas.
Back when it was cancelled in the early 90s i believe 3 routes were planned, one line to headingley and onto weetwood, a line to south leeds inc belle isle and middleton and a line to the north of the city inc chapel allerton, moortownWhich is why it should have come to Leeds years ago. Yes I think I recall the same. The route I mentioned is only an example of what they could do. Who knows, what they would actually do if they ever did do something.Back when it was cancelled in the early 90s i believe 3 routes were planned, one line to headingley and onto weetwood, a line to south leeds inc belle isle and middleton and a line to the north of the city inc chapel allerton, moortown
