The parkway will only be attractive if passengers can alight at their local station and arrive at LBA without a change- in the same way as they do when travelling to/from MAN. We are already requiring them to compromise by accepting a bus link at LBA parkway. For example, if I wanted to travel from Dewsbury to an airport it would be easier to get the train to MAN than to LBA where a change would be required in Leeds. A very quick google suggests there are up to 40 trains a day from Dewsbury to MAN (sounds a lot so I may be wrong) The Parkway concept is not as good as a direct airport link so its important that the trains serving it come direct from as many places as possible and the opportunity the Parkway presents is maximised.
