Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
Frankly, I can't think of a time when the LBA bus service was ever very good, irrespective of which bus company operated it, and it probably never will be either. New operators always make a big song and dance about it after winning the contract, but as that contract runs down, the service levels drop off and, if they later decide not to bid for it when it's due for renewal, service levels usually drop even further, and dramatically so. I'm afraid it's a feature of how contracts tend to go in many industries. It's why bus services are rubbish across the country.

The return of Leeds City Transport would be nice except of course the Council wouldn't have the money to run the buses let alone buy the buses as they once did. But, when demanding the airport get more passengers on to buses, they would at least have a responsibility themselves to make it happen within Leeds. And Bradford City Transport could do likewise from Bradford.

If the driver has been caught on camera he would be looking at at least 3 points on his licence and a large fine
The camera (s) on the roundabout are not traffic light cameras, so the driver wont get a ticket. I needed some footage from the CCTV camera several years ago but for some reason the council or highways were unable to provide it, typical! The lights on there have always been an issue, they dont stay green long enough and drivers queueing get frustrated and gamble. There have been lots of incidents on that roundabout!

The horsforth roundabout is once again typical leeds city council bad planning, the roundabout is simply not large enough in overall size to sustain so many traffic lights.
The other other issue is that you have 2 40mph and 1 national 60mph speed limit roads coming into the roundabout, together with those high speed limit approaches and quick changing traffic lights ( a65 from leeds cc approach, 5secs green light and broadway approach 7sec) many a time drivers do run the lights on red, its a mad dash to get through!

Well I thought it was OK to pass a red traffic light, see it every time I am on the road.
I know it is not OK but it is one of the most frequent offences that most drivers think it is OK

Mods, if I have deviated, please move.

I saw a black corsa about 6pm ring road towards lawnswood roundabout at Spen Lane lights deliberately drive through a red. When I dropped Mrs off in Moortown.
UK driving standards are shite and have been for years. I won't go on about it on here. But it's like mad max out there

I know we're off-topic but just to add to whats already here, I feel the driver has been demonised by Leeds City Council to the point where bad planning and prioritising cyclists and pedestrians along with reducing speed limits across-the-board has only lead to more driver frustration which ultimately leads to bad driving, impatient driving and ultimately more accidents.

You only need to take a look at the low standards, bad attitudes and no respect of half the population now to understand whats going on, now put those folk behind the wheel of a car and naturally you will get poor driving, also within my job i note bad driving from specific genres but im not going to mention them on here or il be kicked off haha
You mention about low speed limit zones, calming measures and cycle lanes, you really think these drivers will care about them, they dont give a dam!
It has got worse on the roads that i can definitely confirm, mornings generally ok but the loonies tend to come out afternoons and certainly in the eve!

I agree with LBA4EVER that driving standards are pretty poor but if you consider them to be poor around Leeds I suggest you take a trip down to Greater London, where I lived for about 20 years, and you will be truly shocked. It seems the busier it is the more disregard for the law etc there is with the reverse being true the more rural the locale. That is why I appreciate living on the coast - until the summer influx of visitors arrive.

I know what you mean..2 years ago enroute to and from Portsmouth we used the western side of the M25....on a weekend and it was utter madness...no lane discipline no care or respect, they aimed and went,,🙄... frightening experience....never go there again

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
