Great news and inline with EMA also, looking at the CAA stats the 2 routes was just about on par with each other, with EMA carrying slightly more PAX

Anyone know the registration of the aircraft doing Leeds to Belfast this evening?
Travelling on it so want to keep eye on any delays

Good to see EasyJet have started to put summer 2022 Belfast Int'l - Leeds/Bradford flights on sale. Currently the easyJet website is showing flights operating just 2x weekly (Fri & Sun) from May to October with no flights in April.

Fridays
EZY289 = BFS 12:50 - LBA 13:50 / EZY290 = LBA 14:20 - BFS 15:25 (A320)
Sundays
EZY289 = BFS 16:50 - LBA 17:50 / EZY290 = LBA 18:20 - BFS 19:25 (A319)

Hopefully this schedule will change and further flights will be added.

I feel we may see a mix of all carriers with passengers using all 3 depending on the needs and timings etc.

Anyone up for setting up a Travel Agency selling tickets between Leeds and Belfast on commission?

They appear to be pausing the route at a time which coincides with the start of increased frequency by Emerald. Perhaps in the current circumstances they don't feel the need for both but see the demand in summer. Hopefully that demand is sufficient to go back to 4 times a week.
Given that Easy are already on the Belfast route albeit International as opposed to City I'm surprised they haven't flexed their muscle and increased frequency to give Emerald a run for their money, no doubt it's all been carefully calculated but it does surprise me

Also worth noting EMA is not on sale at present. Cautious approach indeed but not a silly one, until Business travel picks up, clearly they are going for the leisure market both ways. & Hopefully will benefit / boost Emerald in their launch. Also worth considering that it is peak Summer and EZY will want to be using/utilising their AC on routes that will generate more revenue (the Med etc) however nonetheless it is great that they're re continuing into S22, hopefully there will be scope to add more rotations (MON & THU)

easyJet are increasing Leeds/Bradford to Belfast Int'l route from 2x to 3x weekly peak summer with additional Monday service added from June 27th till August 29th

Mondays
EZY289 = BFS 13:20 - LBA 14:20 / EZY290 = LBA 14:50 - BFS 15:55 (A319)
Fridays
EZY289 = BFS 12:50 - LBA 13:50 / EZY290 = LBA 14:20 - BFS 15:25 (A320)
Sundays
EZY289 = BFS 16:50 - LBA 17:50 / EZY290 = LBA 18:20 - BFS 19:25 (A319)

Who said we can't have 3 airlines competing competitively on the Leeds - Belfast route?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
