I’ve asked a couple of contacts at easy as they had told me of the LBA rumours a few times. I just have a sneaking suspicion that they’re being turned to watch what happens with DSA, particularly if they have the support of TUI. I know they’re one of the airlines that the team there are in discussion with. Not trying to rock the boat on here but it’s plausible.

DSA won't open though. And if it will it will be shut down within 5 years as once again be economically unviable.

I do believe TUI/easyJet and TUI/Ryanair will form a relationship that is beneficial for all parties. Until of course easyJet release that they can make more money directly from an easyJet holidays customer over selling that seat to TUI for a fixed price for a period of time.

Even if DSA does re-open, it's over 2 years away. Why would Easyjet put their plans on the back burner for nearly 2.5 years and then risk an airport they failed spectacularly at last time. I don't buy it. Easyjet are not an airline that takes risks.

Sounds more like a wishlist if I'm honest so far as DSA goes.

LBA just needs to get it's operational hours sorted and then the DSA question can be put to bed.

I don't know of any airline that is seriously considering DSA as an option or making any decisions today about future network strategy based on the possibility that it might re-open. Whatever is going on, I'd ignore DSA being part of it - at least for now.

Monday and Friday for any new route might suggest a city break destination that attracts visitors just for a weekend?

New slots look to be for an A320 as well. Monday seems to be late morning during peak summer, mid afternoon out of peak. Friday seems to be early morning all season (hourly slots are given, but don't always match up to pre-existing flights, so I'm not reading too much into them)
ALC is a A319 base so unlikely to be a 2x weekly flight from there.
FAO has both A319s and A320s based so more likely.

Other options with A320s based could be MXP, NAP, LIS, OPO, FAO, BER or AMS.

Less likely are LIN, LYS, NCE, BOD or NTE based on routes operated from these bases.

FAO has 2 x A319’s and 2 x A320’s based there…..would have preferred LIS but any new routes are a big boost for us at LBA.

The ACL report has Berlin as a new destination. New destinations are on page 9.
I believe Berlin is a Ryanair placeholder due to the sheer number of slots held and the average seat count being 189. I agree though, it would be quite the route to have, and who knows, in a couple of years we could have both Ryanair and easyJet on the route. One can dream

As far as I know, there's no new route coming. Paris going 2 x weekly across the whole summer season (rather than taking a break in July and August) is the change.

So 15 weekly rotations:
2 x Paris days 1/5
2 x Malaga days 3/7
2 x Barcelona days 3/6
4 x Palma days 1/3/5/7
5 x Belfast days 1/3/4/5/7 although day 4 takes a break in July & August

I really don’t get how easy cannot make BFS work at minimum of 2 daily. It really confuses me.
Me neither
We regularly go over to the in-laws or they come to us. Earlier this month they went to Edinburgh on train with another daughter that was visiting us to fly back to Belfast as the Sunday departure was late from Leeds and there is no public transport train back to Port Rush late in the day plus they are elderly and need assistance!
When we go the flights are full

Im sure they could and they probably know it, but lets face it - for now they're just dabbling with the LBA routes. In all probability the BFS based aircraft are busy doing other routes, probably well established ones. They're not going to add based aircraft there just to enable more LBA flights, especially if they do have plans for an LBA base. If or when that happens then things might change, but for now I fear we are destined to just have a few flights here and therewhere rhey can fit us in to their schedules. .

Re Belfast International, I can only see a maximum of 4 weekly flights on the EZY website.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
