Anyone know why G-CELI working EXS25D (LS956 Palma-Manchester) has just come in??

She was flown in yesterday as relief as the 733 scheduled for LS231/232 had a technical problem. I flew back on her from BCN yesterday. They did a sterling job getting a replacement which arrived only 25 minutes late into BCN and we were only 10 minutes late into LBA.

Ah yes, I've come across the lady in question. It's clearly the only thing she had to do all day. To be honest, I don't think the majority of people would have any problem with equipment such as a DSLR camera so long as they're tucking into one of the Hawthorne Farm's huge cheesecakes or something. I would say video footage such as what you have taken from the roadside is achievable without an extension pole. Was that not a bit of overkill on your behalf? :whiteflag:

True, it wasn't absolutely necessary, but I'm not as steady with the camera as I would like to be, and after dropping it the image stabilisation isn't so good, so I use the pole half extended and hold the bottom of it in one hand and the camera in the other to keep it level and steady. :hatsoff:

hi all

Hi Snowman
Just been up to the 'bomb holes' and there is a nice Dash 8 parked in the Eastern stands. Not sure what it was as no binoculars with me but could potentially be a team flight!! Some decent Biz jets in today too......nice to see!!

Thanks lbaspotter just gone over the top down 14 at about 3,000ft. Pity the cloud has bubbled up as seems to be doing some circuits

I saw it do a low approach down 14 at 14.40, an hour after the posted time above, it then headed out toward the East coast.

Is it just me who thinks there has been a huge influx of military aircraft with the last year using places such as Leeds Bradford as well as just flying around or have i just never noticed them before? its starting to make me think and worry about where we may be heading :whiteflag:

Which direction is that Rhinos?

RAF Yeadon reborn I think is what he is getting at. With recent visits by a Spitfire, Hurricane,Chinook, Tornado, Tucano, Herc, C17, E3 Sentry, Vulcan and god know what else, I can see why!!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
