Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Boeing 727 N727VJ is inbound Lba right now at 1435 Saturday 18/12/2010 plus 2 more diversion according to Atc

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It just landed runway 14 and is in Kingfisher livery !!
the best aircraft in the world I had 13 great years flying one at Dan-Air. Bmi A319 G-DBCD now on short finals 1445.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I can't remember the last time we took so many diverts from the South East. It must go way back to the 80's or early 90's since we had so many.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

A300boy, I think the 727-200 was the most beautiful airliner built and fantastic to fly in from a passenger point of view too I would think - although I only flew in a 100 series of Dan Air and that too was lovely to fly in. The 200 just looked fantastic in the climb. Anyway..........back to topic!!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Thanks for that !! Yes My days with Dan-Air were the best of my life and the 727 was a treat to operate my Airbus A300 is the next generation and very nice but the 727 looks so good to me Speedbird A320 G-EUUV inbound now at 1905 from the north.

I couldn't see the 727 but the BMI, the BA and the extra FR aircraft are still on the deck and will probably remain so until at least tomorrow.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

The BA (G-EUUV) and BMI (G-DBCD) airbuses are both now staying yet another night at LBA due to Heathrow remaining closed for inbounds until 10:00am tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile the B727 N727VJ has departed. He left Multiflight at about 16:30 to Dubai.

I've taken this thread off it's Sticky position as it's popular enough to sustain it's top position by itself now.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Saturdays diverted BMI and BA airbuses have both left LBA back to London Heathrow today. Hopefully they with both help out and get some off the stranded passengers down South on the move at last again.

The BMI has left, the BA airbus is still parked up on stand 20 or 21. I have been informed that it is likely to remain at LBA until Thursday.

Ah, but which Thursday?

Judging by the speed Heathrow is being cleared it could be a Thursday in March, but don't tie me down as to which March. :spiteful:

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
