Not sure whether this has been mentioned or not but tomorrow is the last full working day for Germania before it returns to Germany on Tuesday.

No I don't think it has, so thanks for mentioning it Aviador!

I was lucky enough to see both D-AGET when I departed and arrived through LBA early last month, and also managed to spot D-AGEQ yesterday evening, as it turned extremely early over Baildon on departure to Prague I believe on LS duties!

The 700series seems to be a lot quieter, but yet creates a much more deeper groan compared to the usual 300's, which I think was a pleasure to listen to for a change... A lot quieter as well compared to the Ryanair aircraft that departed just before...! Cheap and cheerful maintenance there I think though... ;)

You would be surprised at how many vehicles already come in and out of the Multiflight entrance each day. An extra hundred or so vehicles each day using the entrance to go to a dedicated viewing area would be an insignificant increase.

It look ed like the B737-300 of Jet 2 with the winglets arrived this morning around 0745 after the Ryanair Dublin flighthad landed. The sun was just rising behind si it was impossible to be certain but if it was the aircraft in question it has been parked on the remote stands at the end of the old runway 28.

As I type it's just taken off headed for Dubrovnik, quite loud on a quiet Sunday morning!

Anyone see the Vulcan this afternoon?

Yep i did. It flew straight over Skipton. Also earlier on in the afternoon, the red arrows flew over

I saw the Vulcan flying over the A64 near York. It was low with a dirty trail, but a nice sight.

Where did you see it 'scousefowler'?

I didn't see it, I was following the updates on twitter. It basically tells you where she is as she flys round the country. She was flying for around 3 hours yesterday, was in the midlands somewhere then displayed at southport airshow. Flew up the Mersey apparently. On her way back she routed through LBA airspace over skipton, on to Ellington, then home to finningley. I would be gutted if she had done a fly through at LBA and missed it!! Would need pics of that for sure!!

According to Chris Evans, (Radio 2), the Vulcan also put in an appearance at their Northern Motorfest, which was at some castle or other in Cheshire (Chumley I think) . A sore point with me as their alternative venue, which they discounted, was Harewood. No doubt the fact that Chris Evans comes from Manchester had a bit to do with that decision!

What looked like an MD-80 has just flown by on its way to LBA, I watched it land on the webcam.

I can confirm that it was Swiftair MD83, EC-JUF which on lease to Jet2 again, She positioned in as EXS041A from Madrid and has gone onto operate today's EXS427/428 Toulouse service.
Meanwhile the leased Avion Express Airbus A319, LY-VEU positioned over to Manchester this afternoon as EXS042A

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
