Anyone know why Jet2, Boeing 737-300, G-CELB returned to Leeds this morning after departing on the EXS201 to Amsterdam. She got up to 7,000ft and then went straight into the overhead hold for about 25-30 mins to burn fuel. She eventually landing safely back on runway 14.

The passengers were then swapped onto Boeing 737-300, G-CELG which departed Leeds as EXS201A at about 09:00hrs with a 2 hour delay.

I saw the Hercules depart and also a B737 landing which did not show on the arrivals board. I also heard an aircraft low overhead which I thought was the Medina flight going around. So I can confirm what happened but not why.

Saw the Hercules take off this morning, was certainly something different, a friend of mine posted a picture of it which is below.

Jet2's Boeing 737-300, G-CELB was planned to operate an Engineering test flight hence using callsign EXS053B

Meanwhile Boeing 737-300F, G-CELW positioned into Leeds from Exeter this morning as EXS031E and Boeing 737-300QC, G-CELR will be returning from Budapest this afternoon as EXS052K after having it's C-Check completed.

G-CELR has been flying round and round Budapest this morning, is that also have a service.

Yep just realised I've got me reg wrong, should be G-CELR not Z. Just changed the original message to reflect that.

Boeing 737-300QC, G-CELZ was swapped with G-CELR about a month ago hence got mixed up. Can't remember which one is due off next for a C-Check, But it could either be Boeing 737-300F, G-CELW by looks off things seen that she was positioned in this morning from Exeter. There again it could be Boeing 737-300, G-CELF as she has been sat at LBA now for about a week out of service.

Lima fox is in the hanger undergoing maintenance Lima whisky is going to be painted into jet2 colours well it is at LBA so I understand

Unfotunatly there are no paint facilities at LBA the nearest are at MAN and EMA. So LW in jet2/holidays colours, only FE to go before the fleet is all done.

If i remember correctly when i posted the orginal heads up on here am sure all the charters been flown by Adria this month should be operated by Airbus A319 aircaft.

Looks like the booked arrival time for the Adria has changed to 07:00 tomorrow morning, with an outward departure time of 08:35.

Off track slightly, does anyone know what that German Bell 205 (D-HAFH) was doing yesterday afternoon? It came straight over the airfield heading South West at about 16:15 yesterday.

Adria Airways used Airbus A319, S5-AAR on this mornings charter flights ADR587/584 from/to Marrakech .

The next Adria Airways visit into Leeds is due in from Marrakech tomorrow evening (Wednesday, November 14th 2012) at 20:35 as ADR585. It will then position out empty to Edinburgh at 21:35 as ADR586

If so its strange they are coming into LBA - you would imagine that Land Rover being in Solihull (I think) they would operate from Birmingham. They are probably launching a new model and demonstrating it to the sales staff on the sand dunes of Morocco!

Eithier that or some sort of conference in the sun!

The Adria 319 had Land Rover decals plastered down the side and on the engines.

Land Rover has being using LBA for a few years now. Why LBA I don't know. O2 occasionally charter flights too to reward their staff.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
