Major improvement of a certain radar tracking program we all use. I wont mention its name in case it is deemed to be advertising it. It now shows most of Flybe Dash 8s and Midlands Emb145s and lots of other stuff.

It's OK, yes FR24 now shows the likes of Flybe. I noticed it too yesterday and I was going to post it but you beat me to it.

Having been in bed with a concussion for the last few days, I have had plenty of time to study this development. Currently, the coverage is not total - aircraft appear and disappear often. There appears to be a blackspot right above Yorkshire and there is no vertical speed information for the new flights. Also, when the changes first happened, lots of military aircraft were showing up. These have now disappeared completely.

The Skies above Leeds seem busy all of a sudden on FR24. Something else I have just noticed is it appears ground movements are also now covered at Leeds, it's something I've only ever seen at some of the larger airports before.

Either 1 of the 2x following Embraer 145CJ's F-HAFS or F-HELA operated by French based Linxair Business Airlines is due into LBA this afternoon at 17:15 as SVB001 from Perpignan and will night stop. Its due back out to Perpignan at 23:55 tomorrow night as SVB002.

I guess this might be connected to Catalan Dragons seen as they are playing Leeds Rhino's at Headingley Carnegie Stadium tomorrow evening.

F-HAFS has been sat at MAN for the past 2 days and I think is still there, so likely to be F-HELA.

To me this is great news as it shows flexibility by BA to put the B757 on the route.


Edit; well that serves me right, having now looked on the webcam it looks like a BA A319 on the stand and not the B757 - will teach me to look first before posting a comment and having played back FR24 it shows G-POWH as arriving on behalf of Monarch and not BA as I had automatically assumed!

The Titan Airways Boeing 757-200, G-POWH is operating for Monarch as the Leeds based Airbus 320,G-ZBAA is tech after suffering a bird strike after landing last night operating the inbound MON7509 service from Cyprus Larnaca.
