Fokker 50 OO-VLQ(Rubens 9619) inbound from Rotterdam, just crossing over Doncaster.
Due out back to Rotterdam at 1500.

Well my VLM source was wrong lol as it clearly went to Rotterdam, I heard the VLM brand will be re-launched once again as a stand alone brand and not under Cityjet. Hope so, was always a nice livery and trusted brand and awfully silly seeing a prop aircraft fly round with the word JET written on it lol.

Eastern Airways seem to be having problems this evening with there LBA based operations

Saab 2000, G-CIEC operated this evenings delayed northbound EZE77G/T34718 Southampton - Leeds - Aberdeen service whilst Embrear 145, G-CGWV operated the late inbound EZE91LK/T34719 service from Aberdeen before positioning back out empty to Newcastle as EZE39F/T34039

When did we last have three Danish registered aircraft on the ground together?

Falcon 7X OY-EKC(Mermaid 11) just got clearance outbound to Billund.
Partenavia P.68B OY-BSE just joining visiual finals, inbound from Denmark
CRJ-900 OY-KFK(Scandanavian 1543) just joining ILS/DME approach for 14

I remember in the 70's Viscounts/Friendships had "propjets" marked up.

And the HS748, which was often also referred to in its early days as the Avro 748 Prop Jet. I recall that when BKS had their 748 based at Leeds, it had 'prop jet' written on the fuselage. In fact anything powered by the RR Dart Engine, (which also included the Handley Page Herald) was often referred to as a Prop Jet. It is that engine incidentally that the Dart Group (owners of Jet2) took their name from.

I used to love the sound of 4 Darts powering up on the Viscounts at LBA. That is one plane I really miss.

"Prop-Jet" ok...but CITYJET with 2 Pratt Props sat on the wings just looooooks silly. A jet is a jet, a prop is a prop lol

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
