Its due to return back into Leeds from Perpignan in the early hours tomorrow morning at 01:30 as BMR8207.

It's great that we all get excited over a big plane at are little airstrip, I wish we had more of them though

Does anyone know what the BH A320 loads have been like? Just wondering if it's demand that has brought the A330 in or is it simply that they wanted the option of the A330 if they were short of an A320?

I have heard that the A332 was used today as BH Air had no other replacement aircraft due to them having a shortage of the normal operated A320 at the moment.

There is a seriously big possibility that we might get to see the last ever visit of a certain famous delta lady at LBA tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 19/09/15) whilst it's enroute from Doncaster-Sheffield to Southport Air Show or on its return to base.

I presume after last week and the fact there's been no heads up BH Air are back to their standard A320 tomorrow morning?

Vulcan flight plan for today can be found on the xh558 web site, looking at it it be around LBA at 2 ish

it's a shame FR24 only followed the Vulcan to Southport, there's me following on FR24 thinking it's spending along time at Southport and the thing had landed back in Donny by then!!

And for anybody who hasn't already been, that footage was taken from the new Hawthorne Farm pub area.

Fantastic video, I love the Vulcan :hatsoff:

I'm unfamiliar with LBA but I'm assuming it flew along the runway? If so that looks like it would be a cracking place to spend a few hours on a warm summers evening, especially if there is outside seating?

I was actually over the road on the footpath. The best places for spotting from the pub are parking spaces unfortunately, although the overhead cable really gets in the way of a clear shot. The picnic benches seem to be on the wrong side for watching the runway. As an aside, the Security guard from the 'Airport West' security barrier outside the Hawthorne Farm pub, came running over to me, seemingly in a slight fluster at the sight of my camera on a monopole....until I explained that I was not breaking any laws and was filming from the public footpath. I think maybe she was worried that my camera was some kind of weapon (?). Anyway she was fine afterwards, but I think I may have panicked her slightly! Be warned if you intend to take any large photography or spotting equipment with you to the Hawthorne Farm!

Ah yes, I've come across the lady in question. It's clearly the only thing she had to do all day. To be honest, I don't think the majority of people would have any problem with equipment such as a DSLR camera so long as they're tucking into one of the Hawthorne Farm's huge cheesecakes or something. I would say video footage such as what you have taken from the roadside is achievable without an extension pole. Was that not a bit of overkill on your behalf? :whiteflag:

Anyway, changing the subject slightly, is there any word on any additional stuff that might be coming in next weekend for the egg chasing at Elland Road?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
