Did anyone go up to the Cemetery yesterday morning to the airport police security 'event' ?

I didn't, but Im told a very gobby, opinionated, unpleasant female member of the NIMBY group that pretends to be an environmental group was on the scene very quickly complaining bitterly about night flights. The police were in at the deep end with her.

I imagine though the most frequent issues raised would be the bushes and trees obscuring the view; closely followed by people invading the cemetary; then the lack of a proper viewing area. No doubt littering and anti social behaviour was up there too. The first issue helps create the second, whilst even a viewing area wouldn't resolve the issues at Cemetary Road. People will always go there.

I went and all of those things you mentioned were raised. I raised the issue of trees around the perimeter fence. They were already aware that there were security implications. Sounds like they have plan for the litter and patrol as much as they can at Plane Trees crash gate. Have made arrests for anti social behaviour.

Shame more people didnt turn up, but a Sunday morning isnt the best time.
