It shows BHX-DOH nonstop. If you look at the details, the first part of the journey is on Avanti to London Euston. The flights will not be loaded until (and if) the flight is announced.
To London Euston? That's travelling away from BHX???
Also which site shows the flight please?

That’s not “BHX to DOH Non stop” you don’t understand their ticket system. You get a train to LHR, and that flight is non stop 🤦‍♂️

Yes it's been showing a train to LHR and even a coach to MAN for a long time now.
Although BHX Qatar flts won't be loaded until its announced, if it is..

I understand their ticket system perfectly well. On the Qatar website it shows BHX-DOH nonstop but if you look at the flight details it includes a journey between Birmingham and London Euston. Nothing much to understand.

So the flight is not direct between BHX and DOH.

Sorry, are people really suggesting a train has been loaded from Birmingham to London as a placeholder for a direct BHX-DOH flight?

QR do this in quite a few European countries. It is not an indication of anything. They even through ticket on national express. For example if you search for Nottingham to Doha you get shown national express to London, and then LHR-DOH. By some people's logic this must be a placeholder for an imminent EMA-DOH direct flight 😉

Oh and on the issue of the term “non-stop”, the flight from LHR-DOH is non stop in that it is from one airport to another without any stops on the way.

The journey from Birmingham to Doha with the train is most certainly not non stop between the two places. There is no non-stop Birmingham to Doha.

So are QR returning or not yet remeber then having 2 flights a day QR34 and another one. I remember seeing there 787 flying onto 15 over The Homestead Pub in Willenhall as I was heading to school at about 8AM in the Morning. And then as I was at home or getting home there 787 landing into 15 over Darlaston at about 4/5PM with the EK A380 following 2 hours later.

I believe it’s QR234

Obviously the way Qatar loads flights in their booking engine is that if there is only 1 flight segment, its classed as non-stop (in case anyone is confused, QQN is the code for New Street Station):

The point is simply that the flights will not show on the booking system until the service is announced. If BHX-BOM currently shows 1 stop in Doha, it is not that the flights are loaded but that the flight is currently from LHR. LH does something similar where it shows a flight is nonstop but the first part of your trip is by train.

Absolutely correct.

NO mention of anything BHX wise so far, but apparently there is a news conferenc by Qatar airways at midday at the Berlin travel show
Here is link to Qatar airways press release page

Apparently EMA are allegedly expecting big routes announcement news today, with some rumours saying Qatar will announce EMA instead.
Hard to believe really, so fingers crossed BHX is announced instead..

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
