I actually might have been there that day!

I was and i remember it was a hot day too.

I also used to live in Kitts Green and remember planes still taking off at 1am and 2 am in the morning becouse there were sooooo many planes on the tarmac, a really great day for plane enthusiasts. One of the best i can remember.

Thanks to Ant29 for a great idea for a new thread, I've moved the discussion about Egypt over and if anyone else wants to offer reviews of places they've been, ask questions about places they're going or simply tell us where they're off to then that's the place to do it (see the link below). :)

Had a good catch today, saw a Turkish Airlines TC-JVG abort landing and swerve because a Thomson 757 G-OOBG was still on the runway rotating. I'll post the link to the video later I caught it on camera with my phone! :reallyshocked:

I saw a similar event at LBA a few weeks ago. I'm sure there were no safety concerns but it makes good viewing compared to the usual day to day movements.

I'll try my best to get down but the weather is atrocious at the moment.

Welcome to Forums4airports Simon! Your pictures look great, thanks for sharing them with us. :good:

Great pictures, hope you had a good time? You arrived back half an hour early so I couldn't get down to take any pictures as I was still on the school run. Maybe next time.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
