Unfortunately I [strike]over slept[/strike] couldn't get down for the arrival but thought I'd head to the viewing area for some close ups as it departs. Annoyingly runways were changed around 15 mins before departure so I had to get a little creative with the photo's.

Although it's all about American today I think we shouldn't forget United who, despite the opening up of access to LHR and the greatest world recession ever seen, have remained on the BHX-NYC route throughout. Despite uncertainty over their future post 757 I really hope they stay :hatsoff:

Hi all.another gallery from last Monday.went for a rumoured Chinese Gulfy which failed to show up,but a few nice visitors anyway.As landing on 15 mainly taken from Marston Green station bridge and Sheldon country park.started overcast and cold then in an hour clouds cleared and sunny which made for some nice shots.

American Airlines 767-300 N349AN.

It arrived at AA in 2003 after BHX-ORD had finished so I assume this is a first visit?

Having said that though, the 757 is still my favourite aircraft, she or he is pure class, so streamlined and very flexible. All those other aircraft types couldnt do half of what a 757 can do, from short or long runways. Hats off to the 757 :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

Based purely on loads I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a 763 next year. Tomorrows seat map is HERE and shows only a handful of seats left.

Of course only AA will know those all important yields and we don't know how much cargo is being loaded.

Danish Air Transport MD83 OY-RUE took itself from the Western Apron to the terminal for the flight to Hanover.

The Honeywell 757 was parked up on the Elmdon side. You can see the 'pod' on the top towards the front where Biz Jet engines are attached for testing. The Monarch A330 behind had just been pulled out of the hangar.

I enjoy shots where there is size comparison, like that with the 757 in front of the A330.
