I see CS-TRW went to Tunisia so it may be doing charters to get back British holidaymakers?
I believe the Italian flights we've been seeing lately are more student charters.

Great pictures once again. The BHX gallery has got to be the best one on here by far with pictures like that!

Yeah we're quite lucky that we have some good photographers on the BHX forum. I always look forward to seeing the pictures from others

I've got a load from the weekend I'll add when I get chance to sort through them.

There are lots of pictures from Sunday afternoon to follow so be warned

Someone mentioned they like pictures of different sized aircraft. Here we have a 763, 77W and Q400

Rain stopped play as a huge thunderstorm passed overhead. Amazingly people remained on top of the car park despite the lightning :shok: It did give us a nice rainbow though :)

The storm looked to have changed direction meaning the next couple of departures made an early right turn to avoid it.

Fantastic pictures. :hatsoff: Where do I start? Well, I love the livery on G-TTJF, and also I really like the shots of planes on the ground together. Also the dark stormy backdrop is marvellous.

You continue to outdo yourself, Ray!

Awesome pics, you should be proud.

Loving that one with x4 aircraft waiting to depart. :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

Forgive me if I ramble on about aesthetics a little bit. I do think that storms are a blessing in disguise as they cause planes to take interesting flight paths in the air. I've had a few occasions where an airliner has flown about twice as low as usual over my house (I live in Northfield) or circle overhead. I presume that storm also resulted in the spectacular takeoff queue afterwards. And of course if the storms near other airports are worse, you get diversions. Last year an afternoon of violent storms over Kenilworth Castle had me gazing up into the sky in the sunny intervals as there were so many airliners!

It sure was interesting listening to the conversations betweens pilots and ATC regarding the departure routings, several pilots requested a runway change and eventually it was changed to 15. It did make for some rather interesting early turns firstly from 33 and then from 15.

I saw EK40 depart this afternoon and it made a left turn rather than the usual right turn. I assumed it was to avoid a nasty looking storm just to the east of BHX.

Hi all.some more pics from last week.

WOW, excellent pics mate.

BHX looking busy, loving all those different "Tails" on the main pier.

Yes expansion is needed very soon.

Amazing pictures :hatsoff:

I also love the line up along the pier, it'll be even better in a couple of weeks when you add the new morning EK

The view looks good towards the Elmdon apron now that the hangar is down.

Almost comparable to Manchester T2??!

Airside isn't the only place that needs expansion.

Whenever I've been to BHX it's always taken ages of driving round the maze of roads (another sore point) and car parks to find a single unoccupied parking space. I believe BHX's road system is comparatively simple compared to other airports, though...

I'm going tomorrow and it'll probably be more of the same. If the new Radisson Blu is going to take over a car park, where will any extra car parking space be found?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
