jfy1999, really lovely collection of shots, plenty of variety.

Quick question please, can you just rock up to car park 5 on the day or do you have to prebook?

Thanks in advance.

I agree that at first sight, the charges appear horrific but let us consider similar costs for entertainment.

A Premier League Football ticket Plus parking?

A visit to the Bull Ring ( purchasing plus parking )?

I can just manage half a day of aircraft viewing with those charges on my very limited income perhaps once monthly but I do not do McDonalds, Cinema, other paid recreational activities.

At this time, I rely upon my location as to approach paths into R33 and departing flights that route to SW or Brize Norton at low level over my home for my viewing, often with use of binoculars. Subject, of course, to wind and cloud base.

I would so welcome the chance to revisit BHX as a viewer and not as a passenger.

My disabilities prevent full exploration of the airfield and with Peggy ( my Staffie ) in tow, my options are limited.

My interest in Photography has been mentioned, I am not fond of the Digital format though I own two Bridge cameras, but I prefer the robustly built Nikons that use good old fashioned Film which requires skill and patience to capture an image worthy of enlargement and framing for wall art.

As and when my PIP outcome is revealed to me, I may begin to live again. At this moment in time, I lose my car in 3 weeks.

Sir Raymond, I apologize for drifting off topic, my Blood is up and I feel some frustration because I envy you all for the ease of access.

The photography posted has been impressive ad most welcome to me. Sadly the video postings are not permitted on my Tablet.

Thank you all.

Hi Jenny,

Sounds like you have had a rough time of late and I'm really sorry to read that.

I hope brighter days are ahead for you.

Very best wishes.

Great photos, Simon. Thanks for sharing. Great to see such variety.

Looking at the remote ramp and imagining a remote pier, as once proposed. Would be awesome.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
