Sky News are reporting that flights en route to Turkey are diverting. I'm watching TCX4528 from Birmingham and it seems to be descending into Antalya as normal. There is a Freebird flight en route from BRS which is currently over Bulgaria, no sign yet if it will divert.

TCX4521 from Birmingham to Dalaman is also currently over the Aegean Sea. It will be interesting to see if it will divert.

TOM749 Dalaman to Birmingham is on it's way home currently over Kosovo.

TCX4528 Birmingham to Antalya has recently landed.

TCX4512 Birmingham to Dalaman is currently over Izmir and looks to be descending into Dalaman as planned.

The delayed EK37 A6-EBF has just landed at 00:55, with a delay of around 5 hours and 20 minutes, any one know the reason behind the delay? I'm presuming a technical issue with the aircraft, as it seam to have sat on the tarmac at Dubai for over 10 hours? Not like Emirates to be this late!

United and American are both cancelled today. Just had a look on FR24 and there seem to be huge delays at all the airports in the vicinity of New York.

There was some massive storms in the NYC area yesterday, at one point all 3 major airport were closed with flights diverting all over the east coast.

Can we expect larger aircraft to catch up with delayed and booked passengers, perhaps a Heathrow flight stopping by to pick some of them?

Whilst BHX could see larger aircraft substituted (AA have used B767's before), I can't see aircraft stopping off en route to/from LHR. The extra time added to the service would throw schedules out and risk passengers missing connections. You also have to consider the number of flights that have been affected - not just to the UK and Europe, but also internally in the US. What few spare aircraft the airlines have will be very busy.
Most likely is that the airlines will move passengers to LHR.

Given the events in Dubai there are delays on our Emirates flights.

EK42 departed at 14:15.

EK40 is still to depart, FR24 has an ETD of 16:00 but nothing on BHX departures.

EK37 currently has an ETA of 02:44.

It's just good to see that all pax and crew got off safely although I've seen reports that a fire fighter sadly lost their life. Thoughts and prayers to their loved ones :(

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
