Norwegian to end the Oslo flights from the 17th June. Is this just for the summer season?. That will only leave one Scandinavian flight this summer, which is Stockholm. And this flight will be moving to the evening.

It takes a break in July and some of August due to lower numbers. It's back 15th August. Stavanger also back on August 12th bringing us back up to the 6 destinations.

Norwegian to Palma from next May.

D85891 PMI 0940 MAN 1130
D85892 MAN 1215 PMI 1550

The/Thu/Fri/Sun

Should be bookable later in the year.

TFS/LPA to be new routes this winter.

Apparently the Norweigan expansion across its 3 new UK airports is off until further notice. Not good news at all for any of our airports.

No great surprise. No one knows what the position will be in 3 months time!

I cannot see why they would make a knee jerk reaction so quickly ?

I could possibly understand Wizzair who operate to the former Eastern Bloc checking expansion but we care not all suddenly canceling holidays. ...

It's nothing to do with passenger flows and the fears of reduced traffic, it's to do with rights.

As said previously, Norwegian are a complex airline in that they operate several AOC and have different issues with each one.

This is why we see them refusing to start say, MAN-BOS until their Irish AOC is cleared by the US DOT, yet run several LGW-USA flights per day.

They don't want to set up a base at MAN and then have to jump through even more hoops than they already have to.

Anyway, the good news is that some of the issues have been addressed and it looks like the base is back on, more details to follow.

If have thought the non-EU element of the base would be largely unaffected as the UK would invariably agree open skies with the U.S.A

Winter starting to be uploaded in more detail.

New confirmed route to Gran Canaria 2 weekly Fri/Sun bookable on website.

Tenerife bookable 2 weekly Tue/sat

Alicante remains 2 weekly Fri/Sat, Malaga remains 4 weekly Mon/Thu/Fri/Sun

That's now 17 weekly flights to 7 destinations so far this winter. Seems Manchester has come from behind on Norwegian to be their second biggest operation in the UK this winter.

Good news indeed!

This might be a ridiculous question to ask but do Norweigian operate from terminal 1 or terminal 2 at Manchester?

Just looking at the schedules, and Fridays this winter looks a decent Norwegian day!

A0940 D1020 Alicante
A1015 D1045 Stavanger
A1145 D1225 Oslo
A1305 D1335 Stockholm
A1715 D1805 Las Palmas
A1805 D1845 Malaga

Looks a proper operation there!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
