Are you suggesting that the c virus won't have any effect on published flying programmes and that airlines can look forward to a rosy Spring and Summer and won't be affected at all by the current medical situation we are faced with?
Any from LBA?
It really is a puzzler and it always happens at LBA , you can guess straight away which airport will be left out! I bet just 3 flights a day to Belfast from lba and the aircraft would be full within weeks if a new operator came onboard! It's just typical that when you look at all the replacement routes announced by Eastern and Loganair, guess which airport doesn't get a mention??
They interviewed the manager of Belfast airport last night and he was clear that he was working with airlines and airports to reinstate routes but it might take a few days! Given the carryings too LBA, I would expect us to be pretty high on that list!It really is a puzzler and it always happens at LBA , you can guess straight away which airport will be left out! I bet just 3 flights a day to Belfast from lba and the aircraft would be full within weeks if a new operator came onboard!
But that was the City airport LBA use the International one which is overrun with Easyjet.
But remember Jet2 are gonig to be entering a very difficult period. If they cant keep the cash flowing they could be next.
I believe that jet2s first 2 routes were from lba to Belfast int and Amsterdam? You sure about that!
Flybe flights from Leeds/Bradford were to Belfast City and it was there manager whom appeared on TV last night. We've not had flights to Belfast International since Jet2 pulled the service.
I'd generally be shocked if that happens. Delighted but shocked.Interesting.....View attachment 16407
An interesting report Offint but to be honest I can't see the Govt (or anyone else for that matter) stepping in and resurecting Flybe. Why should they? Flybe have gone and in these most difficult times (a) who wants to start currently loss making routes and (b) the Govt hasn't really got any more money to spare what with all they have shelled out so far with more demands on their purse on their way.
A bit of a typical journo story me thinks.

I think if the government were going to help anyone it would be Loganair with respect to UK regional air travel.
