As I understood it, the Newquay route is operated out of LBA in the afternoon using a Belfast based aircraft that would, in the summer, have gone back to Belfast, effectively filling the aircraft's time now that the Belfast flights are reducing for winter (or so I presume). So in the summer of 2017, if Belfast goes back to 5 a day as it was this summer eventually, won't Flybe need to find another way of operating this route? Perhaps that is why nothing is on sale yet, as it will be a more straightforward operation where Flybe bases are concerned. In view of the contract Flybe signed, if one or the other routes was axed to Newquay, it is more likely to be DSA, despite the fact it is on sale already.
