Hello all,

I am trying to log all my flights and I have two flight details missing. On the 20th August 2005 I flew from Bristol to Bordeaux (France) and returned on the 27th August. I am sure this was a Flybe flight but I can't find records of the flight number or, more importantly for me and for my records, the aeroplane tail numbers.

Is anyone able to help or point me in the direction of someone who can?

Thank you ever so much.

Paul Fuller

Hello Paul. Welcome to forums4airports.

At that time Bristol Airport had three French routes with Flybe - Toulouse, Bergerac and Bordeaux and they were each flown daily.

The Bordeaux flight was a lunchtime/afternoon rotation except on Saturdays, the dates that you flew.

On Saturdays BE 1561 was scheduled to depart Bristol at 0855 and arrive at Bordeaux at 1140 (local times). The return, BE 1562, was scheduled to leave Bordeaux at 1205 and arrive at Bristol at 1250. Equipment was advertised as DH-8-400 though occasionally a Bae 146/ARJ jet may have substituted.

I'm afraid I have no details of aircraft registration numbers.

These three French routes were axed by Flybe the following year after easyJet commenced on Bordeaux and Toulouse, and still flies to those airports - Bordeaux in summer only. Bergerac is now operated by Ryanair in summer.

I hope this at least fills in some of your gaps.

Thanks for your very helpful reply. Just having the flight details is indeed very useful. I remember it was an early start from Bristol, that's for certain!
The records on the internet I can find don't seem to go back as far as 2005 which is a shame but I will carry on trying!
Thank you once again.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
