Apparently, negotiations are ongoing for the city council to cancel the long lease they awarded The Sutton Harbour Group so they themselves can determine the future of the airport. Perhaps the Labour-controlled council want it reopened? They are also claiming the site has been neglected by the current leaseholders for years...

I remember flying in there from Leeds with a stop in Bristol about 10 years ago. Saved me lots of time compared to driving. Believe it was with Air Southwest.
