Leeds council has been hijacked by a bunch of moronic braid dead green loving climate change worshiping freaks. That’s why. Enemy’s of the working people of the city are Leeds Labour.
Meanwhile part council owned and labour controlled Manchester airport presses ahead with more expansion.

Meanwhile part council owned and labour controlled Manchester airport presses ahead with more expansion.

What you get when you get decent councillors who own the airport, decent Mp's and a decent Mayor who understand the significance of aviation and what it brings to the local economy. Whilst we've got morons such as Alex Sobel - waste of space and £80+k a year.

Still some big gaps that need filling. Hopefully they will add more. Better also to have LBA based flying in my personal opinion due to friendly flight times (dont have to get up at the crack of dawn for the inbound to LBA)

Not sure I can cope with the excitement! Radio Leeds just did a 5 minute interview with Ryanair regarding their operation from LBA, because apparently, today will see them pass the 15m passenger mark out of LBA.
Maybe the lucky passenger will be awarded the window seat they booked as a prize. (Only kidding 😅).

Shame that although it was generally positive, the breakfast show presenter couldn't resist bringing up the matter of LBA exceeding it's night flight limits, and Ryanair's part in that. The lady from Ryanair was happy to explain the fact they operate their 'Game Changer' aircraft out of LBA (737 8200 MAX) which she said were 40% quieter. She said these were the majority of their based fleet at Leeds. Maybe she needs to look up the meaning of majority as 1 out of 3 isn't a majority in the UK!

A good news story though, on Radio Leeds. Whatever next?

Great news. Hopefully 'next' will be the airport themselves engaging directly with the media.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
