Oh yes I get the tariff situation with the EU, but as I say, I thought they’d be loving the Chinese situation.

As for the split fleets I doubt it. Airbus perhaps for the 21NEO but going to be waiting a while for those. The MAX10 is due to start been delivered soon, but still hasn’t got approval. So one wonders … will they convert over to the MAX9?

Airbus say they're sold out until 2030, so it'll be a very long wait for anyone ordering now.

Ryanair Winter 2025/2026 LBA Schedule

As promised earlier in the week here is what I have found for Ryanair’s Leeds/Bradford Winter 2025/2026 schedule. It looks like we remain with a fleet of 3x based aircraft which I suspect will be a mix of Boeing 737-800 & Boeing 737-MAX8’s.

Not all flights are shown on sale yet. The are few flights that will have to be either retimed to fit into the based schedule or switched to be operated by non-based aircraft. We also have a few flights arriving in the early hours of the morning which might have to be retimed.
Which begs the question, Will they be overnight closures for runway repairs next winter?

Low-cost carrier Ryanair is spending $500 million on 30 new spare LEAP-1B engines in an effort to boost operational resilience.

Ryanair announced on June 10, 2025, that an agreement signed with CFM International will see the fuel-efficient engines delivered over the next two years.

Probably messing with their system again. How many times have we had situations like this in the past and questions such as this, and they nearly always reappear. The same happened with Porto as I recall.

Might also depend on whether the Orange boys are about to enter the FAO fray, that could be delayingv FR's thinking. Do they have a base in FAO to enable that to happen?

EasyJet does not have a base at FAO.

easyJet does have a base at FAO.
It's had a summer-only base every year since 2022 with 4x based aircraft.

There are plenty of UK airports that are not showing any Ryanair flights to FAO after March 2026 at this time. A look at their website suggests ABZ, BFS, BOH, BRS, CWL, EMA - and others are like LBA in not having FAO flights available to book after March 2026.
