it sure looks strange to see an all orange plane. it turns ppls heads to look at it, a good bit of advetising as it gets ppl talking about easyjet.
they did nothing special for the 100th airbus when that went into service, all they did was put a sticker on either side stating it was the 100 airbus in the fleet.the reg for the 100th wa g-ezbr.

EZY UI has been at BRS for about 3 weeks, a few refer to it as the giant Tic Tac, personally I love it but could do with sharklets. It would be nice to see the 300th done in a metallic orange.

They should go with an all green one too and base the two aircraft together and have a proper "tic-tac" family.

Hi all,

Been a while since my last post!
I took advantage of the afternoon sun to take a trip to my local.
Luckily, the special liveries that have been around lately were still around!

Brilliant pics again, Phil. Many thanks for sharing on here.

Back a few years ago 9h aen was based in brs, with air malta base. it was doing the work for the late xl airways.

every time it sees this plane in brs ,its like seeing an old freind. it was in full old air malta colours when it was based.

Fond memories superking. I remember the Air Malta being based for XL (for three years? but I wasn't aware of the registration)) along with an XL B 738. In the early years of this century my wife and I used the XL 738 to Salzburg and return for an all-inclusive holiday.

I know that as a company XL had its critics but the service we enjoyed on the flights was excellent. It was Bristol cabin crew and I always remember an older member (female) addressing the passengers as 'My Lovers'. Pure Bristol. Super!

Just shows what these excellent pics lead to...........

Many thanks again, Phil.
I've also looked at your linked Flickr photostore - a treasure trove to behold!

Great pics as always, Phil. Once again thank you for sharing.

I was in my garden on Saturday morning - I live on the south-east edge of Bristol - and saw the A400M making its two approaches. I miss the Hercules that sometimes did practice approaches now that RAF Lyneham is closed.

yes likewise do miss the hercs, was a very common sight at one time.
likewise the brs airport used lynhams radar at times that brs had radar probs.
slight drift sorry.

Here's a few from last Sunday morning - a good number of charter flights connected to the Rugby match held in Cardiff that day (Ireland vs France).

Many thanks yet again, Phil.

Brilliant photographs!

Great pics. I particularly like the second Ryanair with the tyres smoking. Gives real feeling of movement. Many thank for sharing these.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
