Waiting with interest to see Ryanairs response.

I dont think there will be a response from Ryanair to be honest, this is Aer Lingus making the most of all these BHX passengers wanting to fly to the USA and thanks to United they cant fly direct. There next best option is Aer Lingus. It is a great opportunity for them so good on them (y)

I like this cheeky message from Aer Lingus :sneaky:

There’s nothing more disappointing than having your holiday plans canceled at the eleventh hour. Over the last few days, we’ve seen record demand for our holiday rescue fares so today we’re announcing an extension of our #HappyWinter sale, with seats to Europe up for grabs this October from as a little as €29.99.

Even our most long-standing airline might be cutting flights soon - there are rumours elsewhere of reductions to the Regional/Stobart operation out of Cork and Shannon (n)

SNN might be in danger of the chop as it is on a W-pattern from Cork.

Looks like some cuts have happened at SNN but very minor. SNN-EDI has been reduced to 4x weekly this winter. No reductions on SNN-BHX as things stand.

Cannot be sure i have read the same rumours but the ones i did made no mention of a reduction on Cork
and a possible winter midweek reduction on Shannon.
Please somebody give us some good news to discuss (with some basis on reality] and then we might be distracted from reading doom and gloom into every little thing.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
