8 of 14 E-195-E2s were out of action in the first week of January due to problems with their P&W engines. That’s bound to cause disruption in the aircraft normally allocated to the routes they fly. All but one of the other Embraers (E175, E190) were in service to cover which may explain the prevalence of E175’s at LBA.I was reading an article the other day that said KLM is have problems with engines on the E jets. So that may be a factor in what type comes into LBA.
Nothing ever seems to add up at LBA when it comes to airline frequency, equipment, routes and so on. Its a mysterious place hahaOn several occasions this week, Humberside has had an E190 at the same time of day as an E175 was employed on the LBA route. Unfortunately it will be a long wait for the January CAA traffic figures in order to surmise if the equipment choice was demand-driven!
I can't see any reference in the article that this only affects LBA. It affects AMS as a whole. It's OK to post it here, but could you please also post it in the European and Worldwide Airports > Amsterdam thread. This only affect KLM at LBA so assume ok to post here.

I've seen your earlier post now, so offer my apologies.I posted to the other thread before posting it here.
Do you also remember the cost of an airline ticket back then? Extortionate.A 3 euro fee per bag should be factored into airport charges IMO, airlines could then reflect that into their pricing. For me, I would rather pay an extra 3 euros in the price of a flight ticket, as in my mind I rationalise the flight amount. If this went ahead, this would be just another add on which has changed the nature of flying. I remember the good old days of flight tickets, including transfer, with an included meal, hot towels and bags automatically in the hold.
Some of the recent changes are great, select your seat, self serve your bags, but a lot of the arsing around is annoying and this bag charge could also go the same way (If rolled out)
You would assume the demand is less from Leeds. How much this is down to pricing I don't know but I would expect prices to be similar. On the earlier topic of equipment choice at LBA, this morning is a good example. On this busy Monday morning an E175 will shortly arrive at LBA.
An E190 is due at HUY at 10.05.
That’s because HUY has one departure today. LBA has 3 with the 6am being a 190……On the earlier topic of equipment choice at LBA, this morning is a good example. On this busy Monday morning an E175 will shortly arrive at LBA.

2 e190s and an e175 to Amsterdam from LBA vs a single e190 from Humberside today - a much better offering!Nothing ever adds up at LBA! Haha
LBA does have 3X per dayTravel is returning as we know and I am sure KLM will increase frequency on HUY to 2 a day which to some may seem a Double Dutch move!! If LBA gets 3 flights a day, much as we would like the 737 back, happy for now with any combo of 175s, 190s, 195s
