8 of 14 E-195-E2s were out of action in the first week of January due to problems with their P&W engines. That’s bound to cause disruption in the aircraft normally allocated to the routes they fly. All but one of the other Embraers (E175, E190) were in service to cover which may explain the prevalence of E175’s at LBA.
Wonder if this is still having an effect on the aircraft used?

KLM wet leased 2 E190’s from German Airways last year so it looks like they’re doing the same again. They were used on Cityhopper routes to Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Basel, Gothenburg and Stavanger. Why they are scheduled to come to Leeds this year I don’t know.

Least we will finally have a german carrier at the airport! haha.

Unfortunately looks like there will be no E190 E2s this summer anymore. Seems like todays could be the only one

KLM City Hopper have confirmed today there are having problems with the E-2 fleet. They intend to extend the leases on some of there older E190's and wet lease in aircraft this summer to cover.

Update KLM City Hopper

Limited changes will be made to KLM Cityhopper's summer timetable. These interventions are several months in the future and give customers the opportunity, if necessary, to rebook an alternative flight well in advance.
Due to technical difficulties, KLM Cityhopper has difficulty fully deploying the E2. KLM Cityhopper is in talks with Embraer and engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney to find a solution to these problems, which incidentally have no effect on flight safety.
KLM Cityhopper deployed alternative capacity by keeping E190s in the fleet longer that would be returned to the lessors. A number of wet leases are also entered into.

Problems with the high pressure compressors of the Pratt &Whitney P1900G engines leading in some cases to uncommanded shutdowns, currently engine parts are being replaced and the engine management software is being updated. The same problems are being experienced on A220’s using the similar P1500G engine.

Looks as though this will run into the winter season as well - KLM have submitted schedules for a fourth daily LBA/AMS for Winter 23. Heathrow's loss (KLM has sold some slots to Virgin) looks to be LBA's gain - not often that happens!!

In the short term, this will be to ensure AMS movement quota is fully used and therefore protected. If there is a change to the AMS movement limits, it will inevitable drive KLM towards larger aircraft on services and probably undermine frequency (and potentially route continuation) on some of the struggling regional services.

Put another way, if KLM had certainty that these slots were available long term, they'd probably be doing something new such as picking up the old Flybe EXT service or more development into Poland or Scandinavia or whatever. As they don't have that certainty right now, "bulking up" the schedule on the likes of LBA and MAN is a good short-term expedient to make sure the slots are used.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
