I don't know about 737.700 announcement, both my flights in a fortnight are EMB175s! At least I get to fly on one for the first time.

We should bring back Air Anglia with their Friendships, and occasional Fellowship. And get them to do Paris as well, instead of the paltry Jet2 offering.

One for the nostalgia thread there. Air Anglia F28s were a real treat. Usually only early morning and late night on Paris

The first Fokker 28 was leased in by Air Anglia, an F28-1000 PH-MOL. The airline then replaced this with two new F28-4000s G-JCWW and G-WWJC, the registrations recognising the two AQ big cheeses Jim Crampton and Wilbur Wright. The daily weekday work for one of these was EDI-LBA-ORY-NCL-ABZ-SVG then reverse.

I loved it when the F28's started operations, as you say PH-MOL was the first F28 Air Anglia used. It made a change from the F27's, although we did handle the Britannia 737's at the time. I presume A300 Boy will have done the 'line checks' when these staged through Leeds. I remember one night a passenger disembarked at Leeds instead of Edinburgh in error, always a risk with multi sector flights.

I once flew Air UK from MME to HUY, just a short hope really but, saved a long drive. It was night time, and not best of weather, I do remember they nearly forgot to board me ! Great little flight, pilot wanted to get on the way as fog was due.

A lot of European operators seem to drop flights during summer June through September as their holidays
tend to vary from UK and aircraft can be better used to summer sun destinations or covering routes where B737
have been taken off for summer i:e Manchester gets 2 or 3 Embraers over summer instead of 737s because loads are lighter
at certain times of day

Look what I just found when making a booking:View attachment 14970
Just tried a few dummy dates for next summer and the 10.05 flight out of Leeds is showing a 737-700 on all the dates I looked at. Other two services are the 175. This is good and positive news for the airport, we need some right now, if KLM are to introduce the 737. Hopefully if we can fill the aircraft may lead to a full 737 service in the future as aircraft become available.

I have been looking at LBA - LYS for the last few days, didn't involve the 10.00 flight. The early morning and tea time flights were EMB190.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
