Another couple of interesting considerations if any T3 base is an AF code share rather than op for KL, firstly would be the potential for that to increase KL traffic. That may initially sound a daft statement (of which you all know I make many) but with them both tied in together as part of Skyteam it opens up so much more worldwide on top of the P2P stuff.
Secondly on P2P, would AF then drive LS off CDG? I think LS use the 733 on the route and as they are going at some point in the not too distant future, that is yet another thinner route LS may not be bothered about worrying if they can fill a 738. I definitely think we have some interesting times ahead at LBA

The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting on a former employee of KLM who worked as cabin crew for the airline who drank over four times the drink driving limit on a flight from back from Amsterdam to Leeds.

I can't believe her colleagues actually let her travel. Surely the captain of the flight must have been aware she was drunk. Thoughts?
I was a flight attendant in 2005 for KLM , there was also a heavy drinker senior flight attendant working, she had been drinking most of the night. I tried to tell the captain but she made sure to keep me away from communicating with him, and made my flight hell back to Leeds. She didn’t like the captain and after witnessing her spiting in the captains coffee , I resigned . I didn’t want to fly with unsafe crew.

Welcome to the forum Lucylou.

It was always planned that German Airways would return on the Weekday mid-Moring AMS-LBA-AMS rotation from late August running until the to end of Sumner schedule in October.
Also most other sectors that have recently been operated by the Embrear 175 are upgraded back to the larger E190.

Just flying back on todays KL 1053, arriving at 16:50. The flight was overbooked and they were offering a free hotel in Amsterdam with free food a flight to LBA tomorrow and a refund for the original flight. Unfortunately we arrived at the gate very late and it was all over bar the shouting. Shame!

I’m not surprised - that sounds a great offer!

not to be a downer, but on denied boarding (e.g. due to overbooking) they are obliged to offer you duty of care - so accommodation, food and drink. they aren't doing it out of the goodness of their own heart.

if offloaded due to overbooking, you would also be entitled to compensation for involuntary boarding on top of the duty of care.

I really mentioned it as it was an indication of the popularity of the flight. The outbound on Tuesday mid morning also seemed to be full.

Have to go to HKG in March for 4 days….what a parlava it is with KLM,

2 stops, 1 in AMS and then CDG then onto HKG…have to go to MAN direct flight with Cathay and 2k cheaper!

Maybe you need to change the day of travel or the time. Its 5 years ago now but I always had good connections.

Unfortunately it's a big fair in Guangzhou so I can't change the dates. Its only a 90min drive to MAN….IF the traffic is kind to me….just a shame I cant nip up the road from Ilkley and breeze through LBA in 15-20 mins.

wow if it was me - sadly i would have to go over the hill or head south this is another reason why a LHR could work
LHR only works if the connection is 2 hrs or less otherwise it's over the hill which takes 90mins….no point in having 3h connections.

I am prepared to make some compromises in order to support LBA. 3 hours would be fine.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
