Looks like slightly different / later times

See following post for this weeks revised timings due to major NATO exercise at Amsterdam

Don’t know what’s going on during the last week of June 2025 (Week Commencing Sun 22nd to Fri 27th) as both the morning Leeds - Amsterdam flights have been rescheduled?

The early 06:20, KL1018 will depart at 08:25 and remains operated by our based Eastern Airways Embraer 190.

Meanwhile the mid-morning rotation has been totally rescheduled to be operated by KLM City Hoppers own Embraer 190 in the afternoon as follows. The KL1019 will arrive at 13:30 instead of 09:30 and the outbound KL1020 service that is normally due out at 10:05 will depart at 14:10.

Isn't it a case Eastern are still awaiting a number of E190's to come from KLM to enter the Eastern fleet. Since a number of the KLM E190 fleet was side lined due to requiring major exams. So the E190's are having to wait in turn to get these major exams done, before being released to Eastern.

I haven't been keeping fully abreast of developments for most of this year due to bit of ill health and workload. So not entirely fully upto date of the fleet currently.

Eastern fleet:

E170:
G-CMLI
G-CMPI (leased to KLM)

E190:
G-CLSN (leased to KLM)
G-CLYU (leased to KLM)
G-CMWI (ex KLM)
G-CMZI (ex KLM) (leased to KLM)

Fleet info off Planespotter website

So if the info on Planespotter website is upto date that means they are still awaiting a few aircraft to come from KLM.

So is it really all down to Eastern the issues on the Amsterdam route.

It's the E190 -2s that are having to have engine checks I think. Same engines as the A320 NEO? As far as I know it doesn't affect the standard E190s that Eastern have or are waiting for.

Eastern will not change until one thing about Eastern changes, and so it will never change.
Knowing someone who was there when it was owned by Bristow and then offloaded back to the element in question I think it’s clear the actual business did better under the latter in its previous life. The core business has died and there’s been no way to survive other than smash and grab contracts. The KLM is fundamentally different because it’s long term where the others weren’t. But like I said previously the seeming lack of forward planning and investment is what will kill it, not the capability of the people who work there. This is why I think it needs offloading again to a strategic partner such as KLM.

Do I think this will happen? No probably not, but if this does spectacularly fail as some seem to hope I fail to see how KLM could take up the slack given their own issues. So I’d prefer to hope it works out in the end.

@Stagman the reason for the delayed EIS of a couple of the ex-KLC E-190 aircraft was due to KLM weight certification paperwork delays. I’m not exactly sure why they took so long to do this but sometimes airlines can declare a lower MTOW to reduce fees for things like airspace slots. This may be the reason along with the obvious M&B calculations.

It isn't to do with engine checks.

A number of E190's were laid up because they needed major exams. After x amount of hours aircraft require certain exams, the further on the hours the higher the exam scale required. Some higher exam levels require more in depth examination and costlier which can take weeks to months to fully complete.

That's what I said!!

The E190-2s definitely are needing engine checks though. There's been numerous articles about it.

Seriously they can't win can they? Eastern are operating flights with white planes and they're always cancelled. KLM are operating flights with their nice blue planes but they're not the ones we want.
Im interested to see if the schedule changes we saw this week (as a result of the NATO summit?) are going to be extended.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
