I think with North American airlines it has to remembered that a lot of their focus will be on destinations their American and Canadian customers want to visit and are visiting. With UK based customers they may well be more happier to funnel them through their alliance partners ie BA for American and KLM/Virgin for Delta. With an airline like JetBlue it needs to be remembered that they're also a bit of a market disruptor so may well look towards the destinations it's competition flies to rather than opening new unique destinations.The same could be said for example in attracting someone like jet blue for New York.
Also with JetBlue their neoLR are pretty premium heavy with 24 suites instead of the 16 their domestic neoLR have they'd want to be confident of filling them.
